The most important attractions of the city is the Christ of NOAS, which is a sculpture on top of a hill with a church and sanctuary pertaining to the Holy Land. This sculpture is the third largest in Latin America after the Rio de Janeiro in Lehman Brothers' Investment Banking Group Brazil and the Cristo de la Concordia financial institutions in Bolivia. Christ is shown with private equity firms open arms, as if to give a big hug, symbolizing protection of the city.
El Canal de la Perla
Recently, it was rediscovered the Canal de la Perla, adding another attraction to Torreon. This canal was built in the late nineteenth century, was originally an irrigation canal leading water from the Nazas river to irrigate the south east of the city, is currently used as an underpass by the population in addition to temporary exhibitions and other events art.
In 2006 the Museum was inaugurated Arocena, exquisite place where works of art are located in pre-Columbian times to today, through periods of conquest, colonial, independence and avant-garde art, in addition to presenting exhibitions and conferences samples as well as film and book fairs.
