She Hate Me She Hate Me is an LGBT comic film written and directed by Spike Lee and starring Anthony Mackie, Kerry Washington and Ellen Barkin. It’s a controversial film, like most of Spike Lee, who plays drama and political issues. The film was made entirely in New York City, including each of the five boroughs. She Hate Me, entitled She hates me in Spain, was launched in July 2004 and raised nearly half a million dollars at the box office in limited release.
